The ICC is pleased to announce their summer offerings for Greek Taglit-Birthright Israel trips in 2010. The signature program, Greeks Rush Israel, is an opportunity for participants to meet other Jewish fraternity and sorority students from around the country on this special trip, as they tour the land and see the culture first-hand, participating in special Greek programs and parties every day. From jeep rides in the Golan Heights to floating in the Dead Sea, from the Western Wall to the closing Toga party, this moving experience is enriched by the close relationships made possible by the shared fraternity and sorority bond.
In addition to the established Greeks Rush Israel program, the Greek Outreach Initiative is launching a new option for chapter officers and board members that will focus on leadership development and entrepreneurship. Selected by Taglit as a specialty trip, it will feature all of the standard Birthright and Greek Birthright components, but there will also be programs with student leaders, non-profit organizations and IDF officers to connect the American students and the leadership models they employ in their respective chapters with similar techniques used by their Israeli contemporaries as well.
This Greek Leadership Birthright is an opportunity for the ICC’s Greek partners and other historically Jewish organizations to highlight their up-and-coming leaders by recommending them to participate in this special trip. The goal of this new program is to equip these students with new tools and models of leadership that can be applied in their chapters and to their national fraternity or sorority leadership.
