MEDIA ADVISORY – ICC “ISRAEL IN ACADEMIA” SUMMIT:
THIRTY-ONE NATIONAL JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS COMMIT TO ENHANCING ISRAEL STUDY OPPORTUNITIES ON AMERICAN COLLEGE CAMPUSES
Washington, DC: The Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC) – a coalition of 31 national Jewish organizations dedicated to promoting Israel education and advocacy on campus – will convene on February 6th in New York City at the ICC “Israel in Academia” Summit to discuss the current state of Israel studies on college campuses. Coalition partners will reaffirm their commitment to providing resources and assisting students in increasing the number of formal and informal opportunities to study Israel at American colleges and universities.
The ICC invites you to attend the “Israel in Academia” Luncheon featuring the release of the ICC Compendium “In Search of Israel Studies: A Survey of Israel Studies on American College Campuses.” The luncheon will also feature panelists who have worked in different capacities to expand formal and informal Israel study opportunities, as well as student panelists who will share their experiences and their desire to augment the number of opportunities to study Israel on campus.
