ICC is excited to have the entire campus community participating in this important initiative this year. This is a short overview of the “Real Partners. Real Peace.” initiative, the main message, and what the opportunities for you and your campus are.

The Real Partners. Real Peace. initiative has been a tremendous success so far, with more than 18,000 'likes' on facebook, 70,00 views on YouTube, resolutions passed in several student unions, events on nearly 75 campuses, 35 grants approved, and all sorts of positive local and national media attention.

Purpose
With the Palestinian push for a unilateral declaration of statehood at the UN General Assembly in mid-September and renewed efforts to diplomatically and internationally isolate Israel , the campus environment faces many threats this fall. We want to set a positive, proactive Israel agenda for the new academic year.

Main Message
Collective support for a negotiated end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict between responsible partners.

Who is Involved?
The ICC is working with our partners so that together we can make a huge impact on the campus community. These partners include: StandWithUs, The David Project, Hillel, Hasbara Fellowships, Christians United for Israel, Scholars for Peace in the Middle East, the American-Israel Cooperative Enterprise (AICE), Project Interchange, the Jewish Agency and others. This project also involves everyone from the campus community, meaning there is something for students, campus professionals, faculty, administration, and more.

What opportunities are there for me and my campus?
Students will be asked to write and publish op-eds, circulate and sign petitions and leadership statements, and pass student government resolutions announcing support for a negotiated end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict between responsible partners. Students can also hold events on the common theme of real dialogue among responsible partners. There will also be an online video campaign and lots of information on social media outlets.

Campus professionals will work with their students to guide them in writing these materials and helping them plan events about real dialogue among responsible partners. In order to do this, this initiative is offering mini-grants for a program or event that takes place on campus by mid-October. Additionally, this initiative provides resources for campus professionals including important dates, talking points, and more so they can have the knowledge and confidence needed to talk to students about the issue.

Faculty and campus administrators will also be hosting academic discussions and panels on the realities and challenges of the peace process and calling for constructive academic discussion of the issue.
