The Israel on Campus Coalition supports the ongoing University of California and California State systems reinstatement of study abroad to Israel. The ICC is proud to demonstrate its support by offering the 'California Initiative: Study Abroad Israel Programming Grants.' 

Since 2004, Israel on Campus Coalition has been working with a coalition of national partners to encourage colleges and universities around the country to reinstate study abroad programs in Israel, many of which were suspended beginning in 2001 due to the unrest of the second intifada. 

In recent years, dozens of colleges and universities around the country have reinstated Israel study abroad programs, including the University of California system, which announced its decision to reinstate Israel study abroad in the summer of 2009, and the California State system, which was reinstated December 2011
