Greeks for Israel: A Resource Guide

The ICC is pleased to present Greeks for Israel: A Resource Guide, a new publication filled with information and suggestions to help fraternity and sorority students make Israel a bigger part of Greek life on campus. The guide contains program outlines and information about the ICC, as well as initiatives and background information from ICC member organizations.

Greeks for Israel: A Resource Guide was conceived to fill a gap in offerings available to assist Greek students who wanted uniquely Greek information and programs that are custom-designed to appeal to fraternity and sorority interests. The ICC solicited program plans and helpful background data from all ICC member organizations and created a list of 25 new program initiatives that can easily be implemented by a fraternity or sorority. Unlike many traditional pro-Israel resources, each one highlighted in Greeks for Israel draws upon the strengths and interests of Greeks to better appeal to their segment of the campus population. Whether philanthropic (a Bouncing for Israel fundraiser), volunteer-oriented (working with a local community Israel event), educational (inviting an alumni speaker to lecture about Israel) or social (using Israeli music at a party), each idea uses specific Greek interests to better target Greek students.

This guide is one of the first offerings of the ICC’s new Greek Outreach Initiative, which aims to further engage fraternity and sorority students with Israel and build strong, lasting connections between Greek students and Israel. The guide debuted at this year’s Israel Amplified conference for pro-Israel fraternity and sorority campus leaders, hosted by Alpha Epsilon Pi and Alpha Epsilon Phi in Chicago, August 10-12, 2008.
