The Organization:
Hagshama, the student department of the World Zionist Organization, is a worldwide network of Zionist thinkers and activists. USD Hagshama, the North American branch, invites Jews, ages 18 to 30, to become involved in developing a dynamic Zionist leadership in their area and creating meaningful and personal connections to Israel. Regional Director
Location: New York, Washington DC, Boston, San-Francisco, Miami, Houston TX, Toronto, Montreal
Duration: Part time (possible potential for full time position in the future)
Salary range: $14,000 - $17,000
Suggested Qualifications:
Applicants should be recent American university graduates who are familiar with the Jewish community, have participated in at least one long-term program in Israel, and are determined to help shape the future of Israel and the Jewish people.
Responsibilities:
- Developing effective Zionist student leadership on campuses in the Region through sustained interaction with Jewish students
- Connecting students to their Jewish identity by connecting them to Israel through programs on campus and programs in Israel
- Work with students to identify and implement annual goals for their campuses
- Build cultural and educational Israel programs on campuses
- Develop partnerships with key community organizations
- Work on a national level on specific projects with other USD/Hagshama directors
- Provide American Jewish students a forum to explore their current and potential relationship with Israel
- Provoke young Jews to question their connection and responsibility to Israel as well as their place within the Jewish people
Requirements:
- College graduate, preferably from a university in the USA.
- Good background in issues relating to Jewish Identity and Israel.
- Past participation in a Long Term Program in Israel.
- Ability to work both individually and in a team.
- Experience working in a Zionist organization, youth movement or campus activity.
- Excellent public speaking and communication skills.
- Teaching and/or leadership experience
- Knowledge of Hebrew is an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet Access and Excel.

Project Manager
Location: New York, NY
Duration: Part time (possible potential for full time position in the future)
Salary range: $14,000 - $17,000
The project manager is responsible for USD/Hagshama’s logistics: assisting in planning and managing nation-wide projects, communicating important information to the Hagshama team in North America, and assisting with organization finances.
The ideal candidate for this position is responsible and organized with the ability to multi-task.
Suggested Qualifications: Applicants should be recent American university graduates who are familiar with Israel and the Jewish community and are determined to help shape the future of Israel and the Jewish people
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, marketing, and managing nation-wide projects and events
- Handling correspondence between staff, running an extensive database
- In charge of finance issues like: invoices, reimbursements, etc.
- Light administrative work: faxing, mailings, answering phones
Requirements:
- College graduate, preferably from a university in the USA.
- Good background in issues relating to Jewish Identity and Israel.
- Ability to work both individually and in a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of Hebrew is an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT) and Internet Access.
