Dr. Eilam has worked as a military historian for Israel’s Ministry of Defense, was responsible for writing part of the official history of the Israeli Air force in the 1967 war, and served as lecturer and academic instructor in the IDF's Staff and Command College. He was also a research associate of the Begin – Sadat Center for Strategic Studies in Bar - Ilan University and was consulted as an expert by Israeli radio stations: IDF voice and channel B.
Dr. Eilam conducted vast researches on military subjects, such as the resemblance between the IDF and other armies, mostly those of the United States and Britain. He published several articles as in the Israel Journal of Foreign Affairs.
Dr. Eilam holds a Bachelor degree in general and Jewish history and a Master’s degree in military history from the Tel - Aviv University. He had obtained his Ph.D in general history from the Bar - Ilan University, Israel.
